bit-101.com as a domain went live on September 11, 2001. A couple years later I started a blog. Initially I used Moveable Type (I had to do some digging to remember that) and eventually moved on to WordPress. You can find that here:

After 14 years, the first version became pretty bloated and a maintenance nightmare. I rebooted it in 2017 with a new WordPress install.

• Version 2: 2017 - 2023

Six years later, I was pretty disillusioned with WP and fired up Hugo to make a new static site. As of 2025, I’m still pretty happy with this setup.

The 2017-2023 version was converted from WordPress to Hugo in 2024. This made sense since it had become read-only anyway. Eventually I’ll get around to doing that for the 2003-2017 site.
