Don’t get me wrong. I love Apple. I have a Mac Mini. I plan on getting a MacBook Pro this year. But this is how I feel right now. From gizmodo.com:

Where can I get this “iProduct”??? 😀

Obviously the amount of posts are iPhone are riduclous. There’s even people posting on why they wouldn’t get one, which is not something I’ve seen before.

Saying that Apple are obviously way ahead of the field. They are innovators, and that is why everyone takes so much notice of what they are up to, and get so excited about it.

What’s classic is that you’ve even been drawn in to do a post about Apple. You’ve manage to avoid mentioning the iPhone (which is pretty impressive means most other people seem to be cleaning their jeans after all the excitment), but still you were tempted into an Apple based post.

And you were tempted to read it and respond. 🙂

  5. Tink says:

I’ve read em all! Saying that I aint avin a dig 😉

I figured I’d try to calculate the price of the iPhone, add $100, but I was still a little short. Anyway, I am very interested in this product for simply the fact that (I think) the UI on mac products is usually very very nice. The mock ups I saw look nice. I don’t think I’d buy this phone because I’m just not that into gadgets–especially something that does EVERYTHING. It looks cool though.

  7. Apple’s ability to influence CE buyers reminds me of the pac of dinosaurs running ahead of the T-Rex in the first Jurassic Park. Don’t get me wrong. I’m in awe of the power they have over the consumer now-a-days. But with every announcement and the reaction of consumers, I say to myself “Wow, they DO move in herds”.

Pretty much tells the truth, doesn’t it? The only apple product I got is an iPod Mini and I hardly ever use it. If I use it I feel uncomfortable because everybody can see that I’m obviously wear an iPod because of the shiny white earplugs and thinks I’m one of these soo hip and fashionable Apple iHipsters and I don’t like that because that’s not me.

  9. Michael Anderson says:

@Sascha: You /really/ shouldn’t give 2 shits about what /other/ people think. So what you have an ipod. truth be told, nobody gives a shit. listen to it.. enjoy it for what it is.. screw em.

  10. sascha/hdrs says:

@Michael Anderson: I do usually never give a sh*t of what other people think. But have you ever worn a jacket or other clothings where you thought “Thats definitely not me!”. Similar case with iStuff!

  11. Evl says:

I couldn’t care less about a products brand, in the end, you just need something that works and looks good. Oh wait, Apple product?

  12. Jim says:

Brilliant post. Though I do prefer Apples over Lemons.

BTW, where can I buy squarish black plastic faux reading glasses. What are they called again? iFrames? Or is that name already un-copyrightable?

Makes me want to file copyrights on everything “i”.

    iFrame
    iTable
    iPicture
    iDog
    iCat
    iMonkey

    iTired

  13. Mark says:

Good one Keith, I too feel like this at times, but I love my iPod and that phone does look nice…

I wonder if we will ever see the iCar?
