In a few days I’m off to the UK for Flash on the Beach. Never been to England before, so really looking forward to it. Most of the conferences I’ve been to, I’ve arrived the night before it began, and left the morning after. This time I arranged to arrive Saturday morning, two days beforehand. And due to a schedule mishap, I’m not leaving til late Friday, two days after the conference. Most of that extra time will be spent in London. So lots of time to take pictures of big clocks, ride ferris wheels, and have tea with the Queen. If you are in the area, drop me an email and maybe grab a pint at the pub (yeah, I’m milking this British thing for all its worth).

Hi Keith,
Really looking forward to seeing you at Flash on the Beach. You’re actionscript animation book was absolutely dynamite and has helped me deliver quality stuff under high pressure when the people i worked with weren’t as conducive to it.
I’m really looking forward to flash 9 coming out, it would be a great chance to let loose on the 3D side of things, especially with packages like Sandy getting stronger.
I’m actually booked in to the same hotel at the speakers, so maybe we’ll bump in to each other. 🙂
Whatever you do, have a great time in London and Brighton, and take home some memories.
Just so you know, if anyone is asking you for a “fag” it means a cigarette. A “fanny” is something a woman has in the FRONT and the sidewalk is called a “pavement”
Does that help?
Thanks Mark. I don’t smoke fags – in any language, and I don’t plan any close encounters with any forward or rear facing fannies, so I think I’m ok there. Pavement might be useful, in case I wake up on it. 🙂
Keith
