As many of you know, I’ve been working at Brightcove since this spring. In that time, the company has probably doubled in size and put out two major releases. The last one coincides with a company-wide relaunch including a consumer destination site. Whenever I tell people I work at Brightcove, people say stuff like, “Oh! Brightcove! That’s awesome. I’ve heard so much about them. But… um… what exactly do they do?” Well, head on over to www.brightcove.com now, and I think there will be no question. In fact, I think “Brightcove” is poised to become a household term.

Excellent relaunch — congrats! I think I finally understand what Brightcove does. I checked out the old site and I have to admit the picture in my brain was.. fuzzy.
Site is all jacked up. All the content is pushed waaaaay down the page, and if I scroll down to see it, it jumps further down the page, out of view.

Ben, yeah, just mentioned that to someone. It’s a known issue, being fixed now. Refresh seems to handle it.
I didn’t know you joined Brightcove. I have following them since they started..And I am really excited to see what they have been doing and doing now…
Anyways, congratulations for launch after hardwork 🙂

It’s really nice. And everyone is talking about it!
So does the name ‘Brightcove’ come from Jeeves? Any big Wodehouse fans up there?
Pretty impressive duddy.
They also changed the site 3 times. really work hard. After the investiment of 16Million from AOL, Brightcove really growed so much.
Keep the good work.
Nice shot about personal channels.
Ah just forgot to mentioned.
Didn’t like the new logo, pretty badly idea I think in change the “logo” due to many people around the world already knew.
🙁
so are you guys using Red5 to stream the videos?!?
:::)))
John, not yet. 🙂
Congrats on the relaunch Keith! Looks like you guys have some really exciting stuff in the works. Brightcove has been getting great press everywhere i’ve read. One article referenced you guys as a mature, professional version of YouTube. I figure that’s a good press blurb.
Doesn’t work well on Firefox 2… lots of blank space when I tried it today 11/10/2006 5:40PM EST
