One of the ideas that helped spark the Boston Flash Platform User Group was the concept of getting a design pattern study/discussion group going in the Boston area. It wound up being a more general flash user group, but the idea has still been circulating to get something going on just for design patterns. Sam mentioned it to me the other day and I said, it’s all yours, I’ve got my hands full with BFPUG. A few days later, and we have our first BFPUG design patterns discussion meeting located and scheduled! Even catered! Nice job Sam. Looks like a fair amount of people have already committed to showing up. I’m really looking forward to this one.
I believe the plan is to do it on the first Wednesday of each month. Brightcove has generously given the use of a meeting space for the April 5th meeting and into the future. (I had nothing to do with that, either!)
