Processing out of Beta!

I first played with Processing several years ago, when you had to request to get on the beta, and the name of the language was spelled with two 5’s instead of S’s: Proce55ing. (In fact, you’ll still occasionally see Processing abbreviated as “P5”.) I’ve played with various versions of it over time, never getting into it too seriously, but always admiring how cool it was. Inexplicably, I wound up writing the foreword to this book on Processing:

And actually, I’ve been on another Processing kick over the last week or so, playing around with the Sunflow renderer (which, after much hair ripping, I discovered works only on a much earlier version of Processing).

Anyway, if you haven’t already, take Processing for a ride:

Yeah… It ticks me off that you can’t use Sunflow with the newest version of Processing. I wanted to give it a try here:

  2. Proce55ing rocked. Also try NodeBox while you’re at it.

I am using Processing and recently downloaded your sketch (sketch_031114a), but I can’t get it to work. Is there a library missing from it. In case you don’t remember, it begins with a box made up of particles and then breaks up and spirals in a clockwise fashion. Fascinating. Please, can you help.
