MinimalSynth2 Waveforms

Decided to do me some lernin’ on sound synthesis. Here’s phase one, a few different types of wave forms.

Cool to be able to see and hear the differences in the types of waves.

Also, you can see here another MinimalComp that will be released soon, the Rotary Selector. Click on the left or right part of the knob itself to move between the choices, or click directly on a label to jump to that choice.

Now on to more advanced sythesis…

Hey Keith, great stuff! You might find this useful for further iterations of the rotary slider: http://blog.circlecube.com/2008/03/14/interactive-spin-actionscript-tutorial/

Looking forward to what you come up with next.

This is amazing! The sounds bring me back to the days of the old Atari and other systems which produced sounds like this.

To be clear, the amazing part is the ability to create the sound itself. This is all done with the Popforge library. I went to Wikipedia and Wolfram Mathworld for the equations for the various waves, some of which are surprisingly complex. The only thing I really deserve credit for is the cool components. 🙂

Cool. I tried some AS3 sound gen a while back & had a lot of fun.
Learn’t a lot from André Michelle, now check out what he is up to.
I think the sounds are generated as well.
