Looks that way.
What surprised me was the comments on the macrumors post are overwhelmingly positive, with hallelujahs, thank gods, and about times. I guess it’s not exactly the slashdot crowd, but still, I expected more criticism. Happily, not.
Hi Keith, I haven’t listened to the conference call yet myself, but have been told that Shantanu’s comments were mischaracterized. It might be good to wait a little bit for confirmation before following Ben Charny’s summary.

Interestingly, here’s the macrumors quote, which apparently came from WSJ:
========================================
“We believe Flash is synonymous with the Internet experience, and we are committed to bringing Flash to the iPhone,” Narayen said. “We have evaluated (the software developer tools) and we think we can develop an iPhone Flash player ourselves.”

And here is the transcript from http://seekingalpha.com/article/69113-adobe-systems-inc-f1q08-02-29-2008-earnings-call-transcript?page=-1:

Yes, thanks. Shantanu, and building on that last comment on Flash, you’ve talked about the strategy to make it to the de facto standard for video streaming on the web. How important is it to you to get greater port on its mobile devices?
Shantanu Narayen
Well, you really believe that Flash is synonymous with the internet and frankly, anybody who wants to browse the web and experience the web’s glory really needs Flash support. We were very excited about the announcement from Windows Mobile, adoption of Flash on their devices and the fact that we’ve shipped 0.5 billion devices now, non-PC devices. So we are also committed to bringing the Flash experience to the iPhone and we will work with Apple. We’ve evaluated the SDK, we can now start to develop the Flash player ourselves and we think it benefits our joint customers. So we want to work with Apple to bring that capability to the device.”

A bit different… 🙂
His comments are his comments… anyway, the iPhone/Flash player issue was pretty well explained in my parody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgKSugfVrcA
Is there any question or issue that is NOT covered by a Phillip why video?
The positive response to Flash on the iPhone from the Apple fan boys doesn’t really surprise me. All the people I know with iPhones are Macbook carrying Flash developers.
Wow~~
Adobe working on Flash Player for iPhone
^^
so cool
Updated my “why iPhone” video… this one explains the quotes from Adobe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oHDtXmmEWU
