Making Things Move! in Japanese, Chinese, etc.!

I was really excited to learn the other day, and confirm today that Foundation ActionScript 3.0 Animation: Making Things Move! is in the process of being translated to Japanese! It’s being published by Born Digital of Tokyo, translated by Nagai Katsunori, with whom I’ve been in contact, answering some questions.

This is pretty exciting to me personally, having been to Japan a couple of times, and living in a bilingual home (my wife is Japanese). The last time I was there, this was the largest selection of Flash books I could find in any book store:

flash books

Hopefully MTM will be in there when I’m there again next summer!

The book is also being translated to Chinese, apparently, and at least one other language. Still getting details on those. But I’m pretty stoked about this. I don’t think any of my books have been translated to any language before this.
