Someone just pointed out that I was listed as a speaker for FlashForward 2007 in Boston. Just as I uttered the words, “I haven’t heard a word about that,” I got a confirmation email.
So, despite all my bitching about the pricing, I’ll be there. 🙂 Will be great to hang out with the usual conference crew in my home town. Gotta start thinking up some cool places to go at night.
Ah looks like I’m down as a speaker too 🙂 Although still waiting for my confirmation email… See you in September!
Seb
yeah, just don’t mention open source to them. That’s the kiss 0′ death apparently. They’ve black balled me 3x’s now and on the final submission for topics (for which they asked ME for), I purposely submitted topics that had nothing to do with Open Source. The reply?
“Sorry, but we don’t have any room this time around for Open Source topics” – guh?? wha??!
Keith, i’mma sabotage your standing with them and let them know I use YOUR debug class as the basis for Xray’s debugging now 😉
That’ll do it. No more FF for Keith after that 🙂
Those are some WTF prices. $899 for early bird standard passes? NOTHNXBAI.
John, that’s quite an example of not-paying-attention on their part. Maybe we should start our own conference, make it purely Open Source topics…and make more money than they ever do 😀
Nice, Apollo outside he box. Looking forward to the conference, and your session.
Chris
Sheesh, I’d be On Tap for free beer at a Flash gig 🙂
