So the Flash on the beach conference is over. And I’m not quite sure what to say. Personally, this is the best conference I’ve ever been to. Hands down. No question. Some others have compared it to the first couple of Flash Forward conferences back in 2001. Before my time.
John Davey is BRILLIANT!!! He is my new hero. When was the last conference that the speakers got together and created and presented a special present for the conference coordinator? He says he will do it again, probably in Brighton again, though maybe a different time of year. Though, honestly, walking at 45 degrees into the Brighton wind was an experience I am glad not to have missed!
I will absolutely be back again whenever and wherever the next FOTB is. And having spoken to most of the other speakers, I know that they all would echo the exact same sentiment, and if anything with even more enthusiasm.
I haven’t had a single spare minute to update my blog or upload my photos. That’s only because so much cool stuff has been going on. In the coming days, I’ll try to catch up.

With a review like that I think I’ll have to go to the next UK FlashForward even if I have to fly across the pond to make it. Or maybe I’ll get a job in the UK so that the trip won’t be so long.
I attended the FlashForward 2006 here in Seattle. It was a fantastic time. I even gave John Davey my “Best Speaker” award – he came in second for the “Sexiest Speaker.” 🙂
So that’s where you all went at the main party just after midnight? It felt quite strange, that suddenly there was this shoulder-tapping-contest and in a few minutes, all the speakers were gone 🙁
That really killed the party, ’cause you guys were the main reason, we all were there. 🙂
But it was cool talking to old and new heros – I love that 🙂

Agree with you 100%. It was a great event. From the pre-party (thanks Aral) to the post party (thanks Seb). I think all the speakers (well all sessions that I went to as I can’t comment on what I did not see) were great. I am holding thumbs for a late spring/early summer version next year. It’ll be great to have the sunset later so we can all enjoy the wonders of Brighten a bit more. You would, of course, be able to see that England is not always wet and grey… I promise it is not! I can’t begin to explain how wonderful it was to have some of the top Flash people in the world in my new “hometown”. The vibe was just amazing!

you are soo right Keith! It was wonderfull! I am soo happy that I was on the conference and looking forward to next conferences in Brighton ! The flash community in Europe is alive and we have to keep it like that because we all like “the ultimate Flash xperience” !!
And as Peter told, we are all ready for more (in the near future maybe) !!
