PrimalScript 4.0 Special Offer

I’ve blogged a bit about PrimalScript 4.0. I was hoping to say more. It will be released in August (yup, just next month). PrimalScript will come in three flavors: Standard, Professional and Enterprise. Standard of course is the bare bones editor. Some highlights of Professional are “PrimalDiff” visual file compare, a database explorer and FTP explorer. Enterprise has even more goodies like .NET language support, and a graphical XML editor.

There’s a special deal going on where if you buy PrimalScript 3.1 now, you get a free upgrade to PS 4.0 Professional. I don’t have all the numbers, but it works out to an $80 savings.

I also want to point something out which I may not have mentioned before. PrimalScript 4.0, while it has a ton of great features, definitely worth the upgrade, is not an ActionScript targetted release. The really good news is that PS 4.1, due out some time next spring I think, will be chock full of ActionScript goodness. It will be a whole point release, largely dedicated to ActionScript related features (similar to 3.0 and 3.1). And, I’ve been told that the 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade will be free of charge!

So, if you are into PrimalScript, get the upgrade, use it, and bombard Sapien with your wishlist for AS features. One thing I can say is that these guys are really in touch with their user base and really listen to requests.
